Gadao-Adossa ( festival of cutlasses) –

The expression Gadao-Adossa is a common saying to identify two major festivals of the Tem, that is Gadao and Adossa for the Didaoure community.

The Gadao is celebrated in order to give thanks to the ancestors for the prevalence of crops.


Adossa is the dance with cutlasses performed by the Traore, Toure, Cisse and Fofana clans, all inhabitants of Didaouré.


A three day festival celebrating thanking the gods, feast of knives and women celebrating the warriors of times past. This festival usually occurs in March.
